Report: Trump to meet Israel’s enemies - Abbas and Al-Julani - at Saudi conference
The Palestinian outlet Al-Quds reports that Trump will sit down with Abbas and leaders of Syria and Lebanon, with Israel left out entirely.

The Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, is expected to participate in a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which will take place on Tuesday as part of the American president's visit to the region.
A source informed the Palestinian newspaper "Al-Quds" this morning (Sunday) that Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun and Syria's ruler Ahmad al-Sharaa (al-Julani) will also participate in the meeting. The source stated that "bin Salman himself presented the dramatic proposal for the summit meeting, and it received approval from the Trump administration," according to Israel Hayom.
The Arabic channel Al-Ghad, broadcasting from Egypt, has also reportsed this upcoming meeting from its sources.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, firmly rejected the proposal to establish an American government in Gaza during a press conference he held in Moscow after a meeting with Russian President Putin.
Abu Mazen said: "We have informed the Americans that we oppose this firmly; there is no right for the Americans or any other entity to be in the Gaza Strip. We (the Palestinian Authority) need to go to the Gaza Strip, return to the area, and we are capable of controlling it fairly, justly, and with love."
Meanwhile, yesterday the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, firmly rejected the claim that President Donald Trump plans to announce U.S. recognition of a Palestinian state during his visit to the Middle East next week. "This report is nonsense; Israel has no better friend than the U.S. President," Huckabee wrote on his account on X.
Huckabee also joked about the report, published by the independent news agency "The Media Line," which deals with Middle Eastern affairs - and echoed in one of the media outlets in Israel. "My 4-year-old grandson, Teddy, is more reliable. Take it from him - this report is nonsense."
