Police anticipate road closures and disruptions on Highway 4 between the Aluf Sadeh and Em HaMoshavot interchanges in both directions. Heavy traffic congestion and spot closures are also expected along Jabotinsky Street, the main thoroughfare running through Bnei Brak.
The anticipated disruptions are likely to directly affect both bus services and private vehicles throughout the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Police are urging drivers and commuters to avoid these areas if possible, monitor real-time traffic updates through navigation apps, and use alternative routes.
Additional arrests in recent days have heightened tensions. An attempted detention of a student from Ateret Shlomo Yeshiva was thwarted overnight at a gas station in Holon, after the 'Black Color' tracking system was activated and the student was released within half an hour. Over the weekend, Moti Mishkovsky, a student at Netivot Yitzchak Yeshiva and grandson of Rabbi Natan Zuchovsky, was also arrested near Ben Shemen Forest.
The Jerusalem Faction periodically stages demonstrations over the issue of yeshiva student conscription and the arrests of students who have not reported to military recruitment offices. These protests often feature demonstrators suddenly descending onto major thoroughfares, leading to the blockage of main traffic arteries in the heart of the Dan region.
Security officials emphasize that while the right to protest is a central component of a democratic state, no violations of public order, illegal road blockages, or behavior that could endanger public safety and drivers will be tolerated.
