Supermodel Bella Hadid turned Valentine's Day into a platform for Palestinian advocacy once again, posting on Instagram: "PALESTINE IS MY VALENTINE Keep your flowers, use your platform!"

The message, shared on February 14, 2026, has become her annual tradition, urging followers to prioritize "activism" over romance.

In the post, Hadid, a Palestinian-Dutch-American model with 60 million followers, paired the caption with red heart emojis and a call to "free Palestine," echoing her 2023 Valentine's message: "Will You Free My Palestine?"

This year's iteration amassed nearly 2 million likes within hours, with comments flooding in from supporters like "Queen of advocacy" and critics labeling it "tone-deaf."

Hadid, 29, has been vocal on the Israel-Gaza conflict since October 2023, sharing fundraisers, keffiyeh selfies, and condemnations of Israeli actions. She was dropped by brands like Dior in late 2023 over her obvious antisemitism but has since rebuilt with campaigns for Versace and Adidas.

Her father, Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, 77, has a history of inflammatory rhetoric. In August 2025, he posted on Instagram Stories: "We no longer accept the existence of Israel," explicitly calling for the Jewish state's destruction, a statement widely condemned as antisemitic by groups like the AJC and ADL. Mohamed has faced prior backlash, including a 2022 Twitter suspension for Holocaust denial and repeated "from the river to the sea" posts.

Bella has distanced herself from her father's extremes, stating in a 2024 Vogue interview: "My family's views don't define me, I speak from my heart on justice."

The post aligns with broader celebrity "activism", including Dua Lipa and Mark Ruffalo's Gaza fundraisers this week. Of courese, they have been radio silent on the recent Iranian crackdown and slaughter.
