Iran is Developing Toxin-Based Chemical & Biological Weapons for Repression and Terror | Report
The "Novichok" model comes to Tehran: A chilling new report reveals Iran is weaponizing advanced toxins and pharmaceutical-based agents like fentanyl for targeted assassinations and brutal protest suppression.

Iran is advancing chemical and biological toxin-based weapons designed for internal suppression of protests, targeted assassinations, and terrorist operations, according to the Israeli outlet Intelli Times.
The Islamic Republic is reportedly following the model of Russia (which used Novichok nerve agents in assassinations) and North Korea (known for covert toxin use against opponents). These include advanced pharmaceutical-based agents, such as fentanyl derivatives and other potent toxins, that can be delivered discreetly through aerosols, injections, or contaminated items, offering high deniability.
Key Concerns
During the 2025–2026 anti-regime protests, Iranian forces were accused of using unknown toxic agents, causing severe symptoms and deaths. Many suspected research facilities (linked to the IRGC and military universities) were damaged or destroyed in recent Israeli and U.S. strikes.
Iran denies any offensive chemical or biological program, claiming all work is defensive or medical.
The report emerges amid ongoing U.S.-Iran diplomatic efforts and regional tensions, raising fears that Tehran could equip its proxies with these capabilities as conventional options are degraded.
