US Intel: Iranian Regime Stable, No Collapse Imminent
Intelligence reports conclude that the Iranian regime continues to maintain control over the country’s population, even after the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the opening phase of the U.S.–Israeli military campaign. Iran’s religious leadership has remained largely cohesive despite the loss of senior figures in the strikes.

U.S. intelligence agencies currently assess that Iran’s leadership is not facing an immediate risk of collapse despite the ongoing war, according to a report citing sources familiar with the assessments.
Three sources who spoke to Reuters said multiple intelligence reports conclude that the Iranian regime continues to maintain control over the country’s population, even after the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the opening phase of the U.S.–Israeli military campaign.
According to the report, the assessments indicate that Iran’s religious leadership has remained largely cohesive despite the loss of senior figures in the strikes.
U.S. intelligence analysts are also said to be skeptical about the ability of Iranian Kurdish opposition groups to sustain a prolonged armed campaign against Iranian security forces.
One source said the most recent intelligence report on the situation inside Iran was completed in recent days.
Israeli officials have expressed similar caution about predictions of regime collapse. A senior Israeli official told Reuters that there is no certainty the war will lead to the fall of the Iranian government.
The sources added that the situation inside Iran remains fluid and could still change depending on developments within the country.
