Iran Leaks Trump's Secret War Proposal

Hardline MP Mahmoud Nabavian alleges Donald Trump sent a secret message proposing a limited U.S. strike on Iran with a "symbolic" response. Tehran reportedly rejected the deal, threatening "4,000 casualties" if the U.S. made a move.

Iran Leaks Trump's Secret War Proposal

A senior Iranian parliamentarian has claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump sent a backchannel message proposing a limited military strike on two targets inside Iran, with Tehran responding only symbolically so the incident could quickly end.

Mahmoud Nabavian, a hardline member of Iran’s Majlis and deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the allegation during a television interview on Iranian state TV (Ofogh channel).

According to Nabavian, the message was conveyed through a third-country intermediary shortly before the latest round of indirect U.S.-Iran negotiations. Trump allegedly requested: “Let me strike two locations in Iran, you respond [lightly], and then the story ends.”

Nabavian said Iranian officials rejected the proposal outright, replying: “It’s finished. If you make even the slightest wrong move, we will inflict 3,000 - 4,000 casualties on you.” He added that Iran instructed its Foreign Ministry to contact regional countries and warn that any base or company bearing an American name would be targeted in the event of an attack.

The remarks have been widely reported in Iranian media, including Tabnak, Iran International, and Noandish, with video clips of the interview circulating online.

There has been no confirmation or denial from the White House, U.S. officials, or Western media outlets regarding the alleged message.

Nabavian, a prominent hardliner, frequently uses public appearances to project Iranian resolve and portray the U.S. as seeking limited confrontations to avoid full-scale war. This is not the first time Nabavian has spoken about alleged U.S. backchannel communications.

There has been a lot of mixed messaging from Iran.

Pezeshkian said, "The Iran-U.S. talks, held through the follow-up efforts of friendly governments in the region, were a step forward. Dialogue has always been our strategy for peaceful resolution. Our logic on the nuclear issue is the explicit rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. The Iranian nation has always responded to respect with respect, but it does not tolerate the language of force.”

Iranian Chief of Staff Mousavi added, “Despite our readiness, we do not wish to ignite a regional war that would lead to obstructing the region's progress and development for years.”

But after the recent nuclear talks in Oman held on Friday, Iran also claimed that Trump was lying when he said that the talks were 'good.' They have also said they will discuss their ballistic missiles and then backtracked, and they have done the same thing when referring to their uranium enrichment. Meanwhile, the U.S. is reportedly moving the USS Abraham Lincoln closer to striking range, and US military build-up in the region continues.
