Diplomacy is dead

Tehran: We have Zero Trust in the US

Iranian officials, including Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and the IRGC, have formally rejected all U.S. claims of productive talks as "fake news" and "psychological operations." Tehran accused the Trump administration of using diplomatic cover to manipulate oil markets while simultaneously preparing for expanded military strikes under Operation Epic Fury.

Iranian officials said Tuesday that Tehran now has “zero trust” in any U.S. negotiating channel and views Washington’s claims of productive talks as another deliberate deception intended to buy time for military operations.

Senior Iranian sources and state media, citing what they described as repeated American “betrayal of diplomacy,” told outlets including WION that the United States had launched attacks on Iran twice while nuclear negotiations were supposedly underway. Foreign Ministry spokespeople and other officials have repeatedly labeled the episodes a calculated attempt to undermine diplomacy.

Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam reinforced the position in recent interviews, stating that no direct or indirect talks have taken place between Iran and the United States, despite public assertions from Washington.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf dismissed U.S. claims of negotiations as “fake news” used “to manipulate the financial and oil markets and escape the quagmire.” The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in an official statement that President Trump’s comments were made “to reduce energy prices and to buy time for implementing his military plans.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps described the American assertions as “psychological operations” that were “worn out” and would have “no impact.”
