Iranian regime-affiliated media outlets celebrated the death of Senator Lindsey Graham on Sunday, just days after Iran had called for the senator's assassination. Iranian television reacted to Graham's death with language translated as "finally went to hell," framing his passing as a positive development given his decades-long record as one of the most outspoken American voices on the threat posed by the Islamic Republic.
"Finally Went to Hell": Iranian State Media Celebrates Senator Lindsey Graham's Death
Iranian state media reportedly celebrates Sen. Lindsey Graham's death, calling it "finally went to hell."
State broadcaster IRIB/Khabar Network said:
"Let me announce the passing [literally: "reaching the depths/hell"] of Lindsey Graham, America's warmongering and anti-Iranian senator, to the great nation of Iran and offer congratulations."

Sepah News Network, affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said:
"This news is so good that I'd like to read it to you one more time. Lindsey Graham, the anti-Iranian senator, has died [lit. "reached the depths/hell"]. Senator Graham was one of the most hardline anti-Iranian figures in the U.S. Congress and had repeatedly supported Trump's attacks against Iran. Lindsey Graham's office, in describing the cause of death of this American senator, used the phrase 'sudden illness.'"
Graham, a five-term Republican senator from South Carolina and one of the Senate's most prominent advocates for confronting Iran, died Saturday night at 71 from what his office described as a brief and sudden illness. He had long argued for a tougher American posture toward Tehran, supported sanctions and military options against the regime, and was one of the loudest congressional voices pushing for the war effort that led to the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader earlier this year.
Coverage from NBC News of Graham's death separately noted that Iranian state media reported on his passing and described him as both anti-Iran and a war hawk, reflecting the broader characterization of Graham within Iranian official messaging. Reza Pahlavi, Iran's exiled former crown prince and a prominent regime opponent, offered a starkly different reaction, calling Graham a steadfast friend of the Iranian people and a defender of freedom.
The reaction from Iranian state media comes amid heightened warnings about threats against American officials tied to the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran. Commentary circulating on social media following Graham's death referenced earlier Iranian regime statements calling for his assassination, though JFeed has not independently verified the specifics or timing of that alleged call beyond social media accounts citing it.
