Stark Warning Over Rising Islamic Political Influence

Israeli Expert on Political Islam Ofer Binshtok: “The U.S. Is Finished”

"The U.S. is finished." Author Ofer Binshtok reacts to Michigan Senate polling with a bleak, apocalyptic prediction for the future of American democracy.

In a widely circulated X thread reacting to new polling data, Ofer Binshtok, an Israeli author, Zionist, and self-described expert on political Islam and jihad, issued a dire prediction about America’s future.

The trigger was a Kalshi Politics post showing Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed with a 73% chance of winning the nomination — a new all-time high.

Binshtok wrote:

“As an expert on Islam, I state: The U.S. is finished. It has no idea at all that this is coming for it, and it has zero tools to defend itself. On the contrary, the tools it does have will be turned against it to destroy it. Islam will wipe it out. It will be brutal, and far worse than anything happening in Western Europe.”

He continued: “The haters of Israel and the Jews in America will pay a heavy price for the elections and the side they chose. So will their children and grandchildren, with compound interest collected by members of the Islamic Ummah. They will tear down the democratic system and the Constitution by using the tools of democracy and the Constitution itself, while shaking the foundations of American existence in ways that have not happened since independence. It will be devastating.”

“The U.S. will slide into a civil war that will make the wars in Syria and Iraq look like child's play. This is not a maybe. It will happen for sure.”

Core Arguments from Binshtok’s Thread and Linked Posts

Binshtok repeatedly cites Islamic doctrine as the driver:

  • Quran 8:39: “And fight them until there are no more non-Muslims (fitna, disbelief), and the deen (way of life) is entirely for Islam (Allah) alone.” He explains this as a command for continuous global struggle with killing until only Islam remains, framing Islam not as a religion but “a racist colonialist political movement.”
  • Loyalty to the Ummah: Muslims owe primary allegiance to the global Islamic Ummah, not nation-states. He quotes Quran 5:51 (warning against taking Jews and Christians as allies) and argues that nation-states contradict core Islamic teachings. A Muslim’s identity demands working to collapse existing systems for a borderless caliphate under Sharia.
  • Civilization Jihad: He references the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Explanatory Memorandum” and its strategy of settlement and gradual subversion from within, using dawah (outreach) and democratic mechanisms. He includes detailed excerpts describing this as a “grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”
  • Other cited concepts: Al-Wala’ Wal-Bara’ (loyalty to Muslims and disavowal of non-Muslims), jihad definitions from Reliance of the Traveller, and verses portraying non-Muslims as the “worst of creatures.”

Timing and Context

Binshtok has built a following with similar analyses of Quranic texts, historical patterns, and warnings about political Islam’s long-term goals.

His predictions remain highly controversial: viewed by supporters as urgent realism grounded in primary sources, and by critics as alarmist or overly deterministic. Regardless, they highlight intense ongoing debates about immigration, integration, ideological compatibility, and the future of Western democracies facing organized political movements with transnational loyalties.
