Talk About A Juicy Scandal
Pro-Palestinian lawyer sues Israeli Berlin restaurant...over watermelons
A Pro-Palestinian lawyer has filed suit against an Israeli restaurant for advertising sliced and diced watermelon pieces, claiming that the advertisement amounts to incitement to kill Palestinians.

An Israeli restaurant in Berlin found itself at the center of a juicy controversy when it put out an advertisement for crushed, diced watermelons with a shot of vodka. Watermelon have become a symbol of Palestinians on social media ever since October 7.
Feinberg's restaurant in Berlin, which has been serving "Israeli specialty" food for over ten years in the German capital, found itself at the center of controversy when it advertised "Israeli-style watermelon" - "chopped, crushed, sliced into pieces" with a shot of vodka.
Pro-Palestinians were outraged at the poster, as the watermelon has become a symbol of Palestinians on social media worldwide since October 7, meaning they interpreted the Israeli ad as calling for the killing of Palestinians. One lawyer even filed a complaint to the police for "glorifying serious crimes."
The restaurant then put out a disclaimer on social media explaining that they were crushing and destroying a symbol of antisemitism and Israel hatred, not calling for the killing of Palestinians.
