Saudi Royal Source: Ground Invasion of Iran May Be Necessary
Exclusive: A senior Saudi Royal Family official tells Channel 12 (N12) that a ground maneuver into Iran may be necessary to neutralize the threat following the collapse of U.S.-Iran talks.

A senior official within the Saudi Royal Family has told Israeli Channel 12 News (N12) that Riyadh now believes a significant ground maneuver into Iran may be required to neutralize the Iranian threat, following the complete collapse of U.S.-Iran proximity talks.
According to the exclusive N12 report aired today (Monday), the Saudi source stated that the Iranian threat “will only continue to worsen” unless decisive military action, specifically a ground operation inside Iran, is carried out.
While calling for strong action to address the threat, the source emphasized that any move aimed at toppling the current Iranian regime must be accompanied by “a viable and stable alternative government.”
The comments come hours after weekend negotiations between Tehran and Washington in Islamabad ended without agreement on Iran’s nuclear program or freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. responded by activating a naval blockade of Iranian ports earlier today.
This is the most explicit signal yet from a Saudi royal insider that airstrikes and sanctions alone are viewed as insufficient by Riyadh. The source did not specify whether Saudi Arabia would participate in any such ground operation, only that it believes one may ultimately prove necessary for long-term regional security.
No official comment has been issued by the Saudi government or royal court in response to the N12 report.
