Israel Airstrikes, Syria
Israeli airstrikes reportedly kill Syrian official
Earlier this morning, the SANA news agency reported a Syrian military officer was killed by Israeli airstrikes. The update comes amid Israel's ongoing war against Hezbollah.

A Syrian official has been killed in supposed Israeli strike; as Hezbollah continues to send explosive drones and missiles to the North.
Israeli drones were said to have struck military locales in southern Syria; the IDF says it was targeting a weapons depot as well as other military sites belonging to Hezbollah. A Syrian military official was killed by the Israeli airstrikes in southern Syria on Wednesday morning, the state-run SANA news organization detailed.
SANA said that Israeli drones targeted two Syrian military sites in Quneitra and Daraa, citing a military source. The strikes likewise caused "significant damage," the report added. There was no remark on the strike from the Israel Protection Powers, which has completed many strikes inside Syria since the country's civil war began in 2011, in order to prevent weapons from being transferred into Hezbollah's hand or for the Iran based terror group to get the upper hand.
Since the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip began on October 7, Israeli airstrikes have increased. While Israel seldom remarks on individual strikes in Syria, it has over and again said it won't permit terror-based Iran to grow its presence in the region. This is seen in the recent targeted strikes made on a number of Hezbollah high ranking officers, further weakening the terrorist hold against northern Israel.
Since the 2011 crackdown on anti-government protests, the conflict in Syria has resulted in the deaths of more than half a million people and the displacement of millions more.
