Nations mediating between the United States and Iran are pressing Tehran to accept concessions on its nuclear program in an effort to restart negotiations after Iran's ceasefire proposal was rejected, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. So far, Iran has shown no indication it is willing to comply.
According to the report, a senior official from one of the countries involved in the talks said Iran would be prepared to compromise on its nuclear program and had come close to doing so in previous discussions with US Vice President JD Vance. However, Iran demanded in return explicit guarantees that Israel would not strike it again once an agreement with the United States is reached.
