Hurricane Isaias tore sections of a hotel roof clean off in Pensacola, Florida, in dramatic moments captured on camera as the storm battered the Gulf Coast on Friday.
Footage posted by a witness shows pieces of the roof detaching from the building and flying through the air as the hurricane struck the area.
The storm made landfall Friday as a Category 2 hurricane, packing sustained winds of around 105 miles per hour. It caused widespread damage across the region, including flooding, downed trees and power outages affecting hundreds of thousands of homes.
In Panama City Beach, part of a multi-story building's facade was ripped away, while in Destin a boat house collapsed. Pensacola's airport also sustained damage, according to the city's mayor.
At least four people were killed in Florida and Alabama as a result of the storm, according to the Associated Press. Authorities warned of continued flooding and flash floods even as the hurricane moved northward.
