Magyar received the President with a formal welcome, and Herzog thanked him for the warm reception, which he said reflects the close relationship between the two countries. The two leaders then held an official meeting in which they discussed deepening Israel-Hungary ties, advancing cooperation between the countries, Israel's relations with the European Union, and ways to address the challenges facing the Middle East and Europe.

During the meeting, Herzog emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and expressed his appreciation for the Hungarian government's fight against antisemitism. The President also praised Hungary for being a safe country for Jews and Israelis, and thanked Magyar for his commitment to protecting the security of Jewish communities in Hungary.

The two leaders then continued to an official luncheon attended by senior ministers in the Hungarian government. At its conclusion, Herzog invited the Hungarian Prime Minister to visit Israel.

Later in the evening, Herzog is scheduled to participate in the international conference of Voice of the People (VoP), and the visit will conclude with a meeting between the President and leaders of Hungary's Jewish community. Following that meeting, Herzog will depart for Israel, with his arrival expected late tonight.
