U.S. Victory Base Complex Near Baghdad Hit Again
U.S. forces begin evacuations at Victory Base Complex near Baghdad following a fresh wave of FPV drone strikes by Iran-backed militias. New footage shows smoke rising over the facility as C-17 transport planes move to rescue valuable assets.

The U.S. Victory Base Complex, located adjacent to Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, was struck again today by Iran-backed Iraqi militias using FPV suicide drones.
Multiple videos posted on X within the past few hours show columns of smoke rising from the base following the latest attacks.
U.S. forces are actively evacuating assets from the base amid the ongoing attacks. These include two C-17 Globemaster III aircraft loading HH-60M Medevac helicopters previously targeted by FPV.
This marks the latest in a series of repeated strikes on Victory Base throughout March 2026 by groups such as Kataib Hezbollah and the broader “Islamic Resistance in Iraq.” The base has come under near-constant pressure from fiber-optic guided FPV drones that are difficult for U.S. defenses to jam.
No U.S. casualties have been officially confirmed in the very latest wave, but the facility continues to sustain damage and is now in partial evacuation mode.
The incidents are part of the wider escalation between Iran-backed militias and U.S. forces in Iraq amid the ongoing regional conflict.
