Hamas Secretly Runs Technocratic Government for Gaza Amid International Mediation
A startling exclusive, KAN News reports that Hamas is secretly involved in forming a technocratic government to manage the Gaza Strip post-conflict, with the full knowledge of Arab mediators

According to the report by Elior Levy, Hamas has selected half of the government’s members, including figures sympathetic to the organization, while the Palestinian Authority chose the other half. Mediators, particularly Egypt, presented the full list to Hamas to ensure its approval, a move that will allow the group to maintain influence in Gaza even after the war.
Levy's investigation reveals that Hamas has strategically placed supporters within the technocratic government, despite not openly endorsing them.
"Hamas inserted about half of the technocratic government's composition, choosing individuals who support Hamas and its principles, even if not overtly and explicitly," the report states. The Palestinian Authority, aware of Hamas's selections, silently agreed to this arrangement, reflecting a delicate balance of power.
This step effectively grants Hamas a backdoor presence in Gaza's governance post-conflict, raising concerns about the neutrality of the technocratic administration. The report notes that this development occurs as Israel demands that the United States delay reconstruction efforts until Hamas shows readiness to disarm, including discussions on neutralizing tunnels under Israeli supervision.
The involvement of Hamas in Gaza's future governance is part of broader international mediation efforts. A recent Israeli security delegation returned from Cairo after three-hour discussions with representatives from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
These talks focused on post-war reconstruction and the potential deployment of a foreign force in Gaza. Countries like Egypt, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Indonesia have agreed to participate, with Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan emerging as leading candidates to send troops to a future international force, according to Politico's report citing U.S. defense and security officials.
Israel is particularly interested in sealing all tunnels in Gaza under its control, even beyond current areas of operation. The U.S. administration is considering a pilot project in Rafah, to which Israel has tentatively agreed.
