Tensions Surge in the Middle East
Iran Threatens Direct Strike on Israeli Nuclear Site, Claims Access to Secret Documents
IRGC commander warns of "enhanced missile accuracy" thanks to intelligence obtained from Israel, as Tehran alleges it seized thousands of classified files. Trump urges restraint, while Israel prepares for possible escalation.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a direct threat against Israel Monday evening, warning it may launch precision strikes on Israeli nuclear facilities. The commander claimed Iran had obtained intelligence that would improve missile accuracy, reportedly including thousands of classified documents linked to Israel’s nuclear program.
“If our facilities are targeted, we will strike Israel’s secret nuclear sites with precision,” the commander said. The documents, allegedly transferred to secure sites in Iran, were reportedly obtained in an intelligence operation revealed over the weekend by Al Mayadeen.
U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran were ongoing, calling the Iranians “tough but skilled bargainers.” He warned Netanyahu against a preemptive strike during talks, though left open the option of support if diplomacy fails.
Meanwhile, IAEA head Rafael Grossi confirmed Iran warned any Israeli attack would restart its nuclear program and trigger withdrawal from the non-proliferation treaty.
Tensions also rose on Israel’s borders. After two rockets were fired toward the Golan, Israel launched its first airstrikes in Syria in nearly a month. Houthi rebels also fired a missile toward central.
Newsweek added that Netanyahu may use the Iranian threat to rally domestic support amid political struggles. With Israel facing growing diplomatic isolation and Iran strengthening ties with Russia and China.
