A student stormed the stage and tried to approach singer Agam Buhbut. A security guard attempted to stop him, but the student grabbed Buhbut’s hair, causing her to fall. The footage went viral, and now Buhbut is responding to the incident, sharing that it deeply shook her.

The Trauma That Lingers

On Tamar Yahalomi and Yonatan Klimi’s podcast, Buhbut candidly shared the profound impact the incident had on her. “That incident with my hair traumatized me,” she said. She speculated that the students acted out of a desire to “make jokes” or post a viral TikTok video, possibly even out of “love” or a wish to take a photo with her. However, she emphasized that the act was thoughtless: “There’s no real thought behind it; it’s something that happens in the moment, with laughs, friends, kids, and that’s it.”

She addressed the difficulty of enforcing such incidents: “You can’t enforce it,” she said, pointing to the dilemma between viewing the act as a phenomenon to be eradicated and seeing it as a kid who just wanted a photo. She clarified that she’s always happy to take pictures with fans after performances, as long as it’s done in an orderly manner: “If I’m not rushing to a second show or something, I take photos.”

Criticism of the Security Guard

Buhbut also addressed the criticism she received regarding the security guard’s behavior. “A lot of people were angry at me and said the security guard was too violent. What am I supposed to do? I’m not the security guard,” she said. She expressed frustration at being forced to deal with criticism over actions beyond her control.
