Pete Hegseth Unleashes: "We Will Hunt You Down and Kill You" as U.S. Crushes Iran's Terror Empire

In a fiery and unyielding statement released late Saturday night, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth declared the launch of Operation Epic Fury, describing it as “the most lethal, most complex, and most-precision aerial operation in history.” The operation, authorized directly by President Donald Trump, targets Iran's long-standing threats to American lives and regional stability through coordinated U.S. strikes on key military infrastructure.

Hegseth's full statement, posted from the official Department of War account (formerly the Department of Defense), laid out the administration's rationale in stark terms:

“Overnight, on President Trump’s orders, the Department of War commenced OPERATION EPIC FURY — the most lethal, most complex, and most-precision aerial operation in history.

The Iranian regime had their chance, yet refused to make a deal — and now they are suffering the consequences. For almost fifty years, Iran has targeted and killed Americans, always seeking the world’s most powerful weapons to further their radical cause. Last night, unlike any previous president, President Trump began dealing with this cancer.

We will not tolerate powerful missiles targeting the American people. Those missiles will be destroyed, along with Iran’s missile production. The Iranian navy will be destroyed. And, as President Trump has said his entire life, Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.

The United States did not start this conflict, but we will finish it. If you kill or threaten Americans anywhere in the world — as Iran has — then we will hunt you down, and we will kill you.

Our warriors are the best in the world, and they are fully unleashed to achieve our objectives. May God’s providence protect them in this vital mission.”

The Secretary's words underscored a shift in U.S. posture under the Trump administration, emphasizing decisive action against what he called a persistent "cancer" that has plagued American security for decades. Hegseth highlighted the destruction of Iran's missile capabilities, naval forces, and any path to nuclear armament as non-negotiable red lines.

In follow-up remarks shared widely on social media, Hegseth reinforced the message with blunt clarity: “The Iranian Navy will be destroyed,” and reiterated the vow to pursue those who threaten Americans globally: “The United States did not start this conflict, but we will finish it. If you kill or threaten Americans anywhere in the world — as Iran has — then we will hunt you down, and we will kill you.”

The operation follows months of escalating warnings from Washington and Jerusalem, with joint U.S.-Israeli coordination evident in the strikes. Hegseth's statement framed the campaign as a necessary response to Iran's refusal of diplomatic off-ramps, positioning it as the fulfillment of long-standing promises to confront Tehran head-on.

As the strikes continue into their second day, military officials report ongoing precision attacks on IRGC facilities, missile production sites, and naval assets across Iran. The Secretary's rhetoric has galvanized supporters who view the operation as a bold stand for American strength, while critics express concern over the potential for wider regional escalation.

Hegseth concluded his address with a prayer for U.S. forces: “Our warriors are the best in the world, and they are fully unleashed to achieve our objectives. May God’s providence protect them in this vital mission.”
