IDF Spokesperson published initial findings regarding the death of Captain Lidar Peretz, may she rest in peace, who was fatally injured as a result of a work accident.

IDF Spokesperson announces that according to the initial findings of the investigation into the death of Captain Lidar Peretz, may she rest in peace, it appears that she was run over and injured during the course of her duty as part of a logistical equipment transfer process between the Tze'elim Camp and the Gaza Division.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that Captain Lidar Peretz acted correctly during the activity she was performing, and she was in the required location during the mission. The circumstances of the event continue to be investigated by the Military Police, which will pass its findings over to the Military Advocate General.

In parallel with the police investigation, Major General Michel Yanko, Head of the Technology and Logistics Branch, and Major General Uri Gordin, Commander of the Northern Command, appointed Brigadier General Moshe Artzi, Commander of the Armored Corps, to lead a team of experts to examine the factors that led to the circumstances of Captain Lidar Peretz's death.

The team is expected to formulate recommendations to prevent similar incidents and present the operational inquiry and the findings of the expert team to the Chief of Staff upon their completion.

Following a series of problematic incidents and malfunctions, including the tragic death of Captain Lider z"l, the commander of the IDF Ground Forces, Major General Tamir Yadai, ordered a halt to training on land for the purpose of learning and drawing lessons.

The findings were presented to the family of Captain Lidar Peretz z"l.
