Ahead of the 2024 elections in the United States: Former U.S. President Donald Trump was indicted overnight in another, the third in number, indictment. The indictment alleges charges of attempting to incite and overturn the results of the 2020 elections, in which Trump lost to his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, the incumbent president. Additionally, Trump was accused of being involved in the events of the Capitol breach that occurred in January 2021.

According to the indictment, Trump is attributed with four different charges, including obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit fraud, conspiracy against civil rights, and attempted obstruction of official proceedings.

As mentioned, this is the third indictment of the former president. About two months ago, he was indicted in the classified documents case, and last April, he was indicted in the hush money payment case involving Stormy Daniels.

Despite all three indictments, Trump is still the leading candidate for the presidency on behalf of the Republicans, receiving 54% of the votes.

In Trump's election headquarters, they continue to attack Biden and the U.S. Department of Justice, claiming that they are conducting a 'witch hunt' against Trump and using their power to damage his chances of being elected president.

Trump himself also criticized the decision, and on his social network, TRUTH Social, he attacked the plaintiff, Jack Smith, calling him a 'fraud' and expressing anger over his publication of another 'phony' indictment to harm him before the elections.
