In the political arena, responses were given to the severe shooting attack that took place this morning (Monday) in southern Hebron, where a woman was fatally shot and her husband was seriously injured. In their statements, they called on the government to take action against terrorism and restore security to Israeli citizens.

"The heart cries out, the mind is not ready to digest: Another bloody attack that happened only due to the lack of the necessary decision: The roads in Judea and Samaria will no longer be a green path for terror!" said Minister Orit Struk. "Minister of Defense, the decision is in your hands, make it before the next attack."

MK Michal Waldiger added and said, "As long as terrorists move freely in Area C, we will unfortunately continue to see attacks and victims. My heart is with the wounded and injured, and I pray for positive news. To the government of which I am a member, I say: Enough with the free passage and the absence of barriers!"

Opposition leader Yair Lapid: "A deadly attack in southern Har Hevron, despicable terrorists brutally murdered a woman and seriously injured another person. I send condolences to the family for their profound loss and pray with the entire Israeli people for the recovery of the wounded. The security forces will not relent in pursuing the murderers, chasing and continuing to chase until they are apprehended. Faced with terror, a strong and determined hand is required."

Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman: "We are facing a dire reality where despicable terrorists shoot and brutally murder an innocent woman, and seriously injure another man. I offer my condolences to the family of the victim and wish a swift recovery and complete healing to the severely wounded. In this case as well, the true perpetrator of terror and the one who blesses the murder of Jews is Hamas in Gaza. Therefore, we cannot address the current wave of terror without returning to targeted assassinations of terror leaders, who sit in the Gaza Strip and enjoy immunity granted by the Israeli government."

MK Dan Iloz: "An attack follows an attack and there are no rulers. We must restore deterrence and not wait one more moment. We must not let terrorism rise. I will pursue my enemies and overtake them, and I will not return until they are gone."
