A resident of Herzliya in his 30s was rescued last night (between Monday and Tuesday) at sea off the coast of Bat Yam when he was in distress, exhausted, and with depleted strength.

According to the police report, the incident occurred after a report was received from a woman who was present at the same time on the Dekalim Beach in Bat Yam and claimed that her friend had gone missing in the sea. Upon receiving the report, several police officers arrived at the scene and conducted searches. Eventually, they managed to locate the missing person at sea when he was in distress and exhausted.

After being rescued, he was brought aboard the police boat and safely transported to the shore, where he is reported to be in good health.

Last week, a 3-year-old child drowned in Lake Zikim. He was rushed to Ashkelon Medical Center in critical condition after being pulled from the water unconscious. After a period of time, he passed away.

Paramedics from Magen David Adom, Yisrael Lugasi and Maksim Nizri, shared: "The child was found near the lake in an unconscious state, without a pulse and not breathing. Basic life-saving measures were performed on him. They informed us that he was pulled from the water unconscious. We conducted advanced and prolonged resuscitation efforts and transferred him to the hospital while continuing life-saving medical treatment, while his condition was severe and unstable."
