Yesh Atid's Weak Response

Yesh Atid's weak response: "against every case of violence"

In the Yesh Atid party, they refuse to condemn the violence directed against Rabbi Yigal Levinstein and the incident that took place at the "Rosh Yehudi" in Tel Aviv. They state, "We condemn all cases of violence, regardless of whether it involves a rabbi"

After the publication of the documentation of the violent protest outside the "Rosh Yehudi" branch in Tel Aviv and the attack by left-wing protesters against Rabbi Yigal Levinstein and the leader of the "Rosh Yehudi" organization, Yisrael Zaira, the Yesh Atid party refuses to condemn the specific incident.

Following our approach to the party's spokesperson, it was conveyed: "We are against all cases of violence and condemn any violence regardless of who it is directed towards." However, this statement did not provide a specific response to the incident in Tel Aviv.

The incident occurred last night (Tuesday) when the two individuals who arrived at the "Rosh Yehudi" branch encountered hundreds of protesters who had come to demonstrate against them. During the protest, several demonstrators attempted to physically attack Rabbi Levinstein and his escort, including using sticks. A young man named Aviad, who accompanied the rabbi, described the challenging experience: "Dozens of protesters tried to physically attack us, with sticks and even their hands. If the police had not been there to protect the rabbi, it would have ended very badly."

Knesset member Zeev Elkin condemned the attack this morning (Wednesday), saying, "This style of protest is the complete opposite of true liberalism and the preservation of the values of freedom of expression, religious freedom, and democracy. We may descend into the abyss of fratricidal hatred and division among the people, endangering the very existence of the Jewish state. It's time to stop!"
