The 191st murdered: The death of the injured from Khawaled was determined

Crime in Arab society: a 50-year-old man was shot to death in a shooting incident that took place today (Saturday) in the settlement of Khawaled in the Zevulun Regional Council. He was taken to the Rambam Hospital in critical condition, but there he was pronounced dead. Another 30-year-old man was injured in the incident, and he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

MDA paramedic Hanan Zohar and MDA medics Nethanel Levy and Natan Shahar said: "Near the entrance to the village, our friend with a vehicle signaled us to stop and brought us one of the injured, a man about 30 years old who was seriously injured. We transferred him to an intensive care unit and evacuated him urgently to the hospital ".

"A few moments later, another wounded man was brought to us, a 50-year-old man with a penetrating injury who was unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing," they added. "We also gave him medical treatment and evacuated him in another MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospital while performing resuscitation operations as he was in critical condition." As mentioned, the injured man was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after.

Following the incident, the number of fatalities in the Arab sector rose to 191 victims from the beginning of 2023, while in the corresponding period last year, there were only 81 victims. 174 of the victims were shot to death, and 88 of them were under 30 years old.
