Chief of Staff at Northern Command: This is a War for Home

War in north and south. Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi came to Northern Command today to meet with commanders of Command brigades, together with Northern Command commander Maj.-Gen. Uri Gordon and Galilee Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Shai Kalper.

Halevi told commanders: “This is a war for home. For the citizens, for our sovereignty, for our deterrence, for existing in the future. And therefore we do everything. We need to reach the point where every encounter is a victory. If Hezbollah makes this mistake and attacks – destruction, destruction, destruction.”

Over the last ten days, Hezbollah has stretched the boundaries with Israel, firing anti-tank rockets and rockets towards IDF posts in the north, with the aim of blinding observation points. 7 soldiers and citizens have been killed from these attacks and encounters with terrorists.
