As in Gaza: Terrorists Tried to Hide in a Hospital in Jenin and Were Caught

During the night, an extended operation was carried out by IDF fighters, the Shin Bet and the Border Police in Judea and Samaria. during which many Hamas terrorists were captured, many weapons were located, and terrorists who tried to take shelter in a hospital in Jenin - were arrested.

At the same time as the IDF fighters are active in Gaza, the IDF, the Shin Bet and the Border Police, are also working against the terrorist organization Hamas, throughout Judea and Samaria.

During the night (Thursday), IDF forces worked in the city of Hebron, in the Yehuda Division, to map the home of the three terrorists who carried out the shooting attack at the Tunnels Barrier yesterday, in which the late Corporal Avraham Fetena HY"D was killed.

In addition, the security forces arrested 21 wanted persons tonight, six of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.

Later that night, during an extensive counter-terrorism operation in the Jenin refugee camp, under the command of the Kfir Brigade and directed by the Shin Bet's accurate intelligence information, IDF engineering forces uncovered ready-to-use charges planted under and on the sides of the road in order to harm our forces.

An IDF aircraft attacked a squad of armed terrorists who shot at our forces and endangered them. This is in addition to the terrorists who were neutralized after shooting and throwing explosives at our forces. In total, at least five terrorists were killed, six weapons were confiscated and eight wanted persons were arrested. Seven wanted persons were arrested. After searches of the building, military equipment and ammunition were located and confiscated, and three M-16 weapons were located and confiscated in the vehicle. Among the wanted, Kasem Jabri, an activist in the battalion of the Jenin refugee camp, was arrested.

In addition, terrorists and armed men fled in vehicles and ambulances towards the area of the "Ibn Sina" hospital in order to hide there. Border Police forces who carried out a chase managed to stop a vehicle at the entrance to a hospital and in it they arrested a terrorist along with three M-16 weapons that were found in the vehicle.

Sayeret Haruv fighters searched buildings and located two war rooms that were used by the terrorists to observe and track our forces. In the buildings searched by the forces - a lot of ammunition, military equipment and technological means used by the terrorist organizations were found.

So far, since the beginning of the war, over 1,750 wanted persons have been arrested throughout the Judea and Samaria, about 1,050 of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.
