Tensions across the Middle East are reaching a boiling point, with two separate attacks on American diplomatic sites in Iraq reported within hours.

In Baghdad, Shiite militias launched a rocket attack on the U.S. Embassy. The extent of the damage remains unclear, no casualties have been reported.

Meanwhile, in northern Iraq, the U.S. Consulate in Erbil was also targeted, likely by drones or rockets, though precise details remain unconfirmed.

These twin attacks come just as Israel formally requested the United States to join its military campaign against Iran, according to a report by NBC News.
