Three people were killed and around 100 others injured overnight as a result of a heavy missile barrage launched from Iran, striking multiple locations across central and northern Israel. The fatalities include a man and a woman found in one apartment and another woman found in a separate apartment - all in their 70s.

Among the injured: two are in serious condition, six are moderately wounded, and the rest sustained light injuries. Authorities have expressed concern for at least four individuals still unaccounted for across various impact zones.

In the most severe strike, which caused the three fatalities, two residential buildings were hit and caught fire. Emergency crews are still sweeping the area in search of casualties and trapped individuals.

In another impact site, a school building was hit; fortunately empty at the time — along with nearby residential structures. Residents reported at least one person still missing, with search-and-rescue teams on the ground.

A third site in central Israel saw a parking lot struck, triggering fires that consumed multiple vehicles. Two nearby buildings partially collapsed. Dozens of surrounding shops and structures suffered blast damage.

At a fourth location, a high-rise and nearby buildings were damaged, though most were empty due to a pre-planned evacuation under an urban renewal project.

Fears for the Missing in Northern Israel

In the north, there are grave concerns for the lives of three people reported missing after a direct missile hit in the early hours. A fire ignited by the strike has cut off rescue access to the building where they are believed to be located.

Eyewitnesses: 'The Entire Building Shook'

Ayala, whose building was damaged by a missile that struck a nearby school, told Haaretz:

“I’m in total panic - the explosion shook the entire building. We were sure it would collapse. Thank God we got into the safe room in time.”

Guy, who lives nearby, added:

“We ran to the shelter, then heard a huge blast. We started pulling people out ourselves. The entire house blew apart. The blast wave was intense - even the shelter door flew off its hinges. I don’t think we’ll be able to live here again.”
