Israel Police received a report over the weekend of shots fired at a house and vehicle in the northern Galilee village of Arrabeh. No one was injured.
Large police forces arrived at the scene and opened an investigation, which indicated the shooting was carried out against the background of a local dispute.
Shortly afterward, as Border Police National Guard fighters and Northern District officers conducted searches in the residential area of the other side in the dispute, they spotted a man attempting to flee from school grounds.
Officers apprehended the suspect, a 41-year-old Arrabeh resident, who was taken for questioning at the police station along with a second suspect, a 23-year-old Arrabeh resident, who was arrested at his home. In a search conducted near the school, police recovered a gun with two magazines.
All findings were transferred to the Israel Police forensic laboratories for further evidence processing. The suspects were released under restrictive conditions, and the investigation continues.
