½ teaspoon turmeric

½ teaspoon baharat or shawarma spice blend

Salt and black pepper to taste

For serving:

Amba or hot sauce, for those who enjoy it

Preparation

  1. Heat a large skillet with the olive oil and sauté the onion until it softens and begins to turn golden.
  2. Add the chicken strips along with the paprika, cumin, turmeric, baharat, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook over medium-high heat for approximately 8-10 minutes, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and develops a nice golden color.
