Haredi Teens at Risk
Bnei Brak kids torch neighborhood playground in likely arson
The brazen attack on the playground equipment - meant for the neighborhood's youngest residents - has left the community shaken. In a city where outdoor play spaces are already hard to come by, watching one go up in smoke has hit particularly hard.

In an unsettling case that has local parents on edge, two 12-year-olds were hauled in by police for setting fire to a children's playground in Bnei Brak, a city packed with young families. The playground, a popular spot on Pardo Street where kids usually spend their afternoons, went up in flames two weeks ago.
Police didn't mess around, bringing in youth crime specialists who spent two days questioning the pre-teen suspects. While the kids have been released with restrictions, cops are still investigating what happened.
The playground stands empty now, its blackened equipment a grim reminder of what happened. Police haven't said yet whether the damage can be fixed or if the whole thing needs replacing - leaving hundreds of local families without a critical play space for their children, but more importantly, with two possible juvenile delinquent arsonists in the area.
