Israeli Defense Minister Threatens to Eliminate Khamenei

After Iran publishes hit list of senior Israeli leaders, Defense Minister Katz warns Tehran’s supreme leader of a deadly response from above.

Tensions between Israel and Iran escalated sharply on Sunday after Tehran circulated a graphic threatening the lives of senior Israeli political and military leaders. The image, released by “Sabrin News,” a media outlet affiliated with the pro-Iranian axis, displayed names and photos under the headline “Targets for Elimination.”

Among those listed were Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir , and IDF Chief Rabbi Brig. Gen. Eyal Karim, alongside other senior officials. The post carried veiled threats aimed directly at Israel’s top decision-makers.

In a direct and personal response, Katz addressed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei with an unmistakable warning:

“I suggest to the Iranian dictator that when he leaves his bunker, he occasionally look up at the sky and listen for every buzz. The participants of the ‘Red Wedding’ are waiting for him there.”

The reference to the “Red Wedding” — a nod to ruthless and decisive vengeance — left little doubt about Israel’s readiness to respond with lethal precision.

Israeli officials noted that such public targeting is not new in the Middle East’s psychological warfare arena. Similar tactics have been used by Israel itself, publishing enemy command structures in Gaza from top Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar down to field commanders — often shortly before targeted strikes.

The heated exchange reflects an intensifying psychological and media war between the two nations, with both sides broadcasting deterrent messages, threats, and a willingness to escalate.
