Amcha Yisrael, the party led by Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter, responded sharply overnight to criticism from the national camp and to claims that the party's run led to a loss of right-wing votes, presenting data from preliminary research conducted based on sample polling station results.
"The results show with certainty that if Ofer Winter had withdrawn, the mandate map would have changed for the worse for the right-wing camp without question," party sources said following analysis of patterns in the sample polling stations.
According to the party's internal research, a Winter withdrawal before election day would have led to a significant strengthening of the center-left bloc. In the statement they released, the party clarifies that in such a scenario: "Hendel and Zelicha would have crossed the threshold, thereby adding four additional mandates to the left-wing bloc."
