Man Injured in Bnei Brak Sukkah-Building Fall

A 60-year-old haredi man sustained light to moderate injuries Wednesday in Bnei Brak after falling from a chair while building a sukkah. The incident occurred on Rabbi Ganichovsky Street, where emergency responders were called to treat the injured man.

Hatzalah volunteers arrived at the scene alongside Magen David Adom medics and provided initial medical treatment. The man suffered limb injuries from the fall and was evacuated in stable condition for further treatment at Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in the city.

Hatzalah medics Yaakov Taharani and Yehoshua Yitzchaki, who treated the victim, reported: "When we arrived at the scene, we found a 60-year-old man suffering from limb injuries after falling from a chair while building a sukkah. Together with Hatzalah and MDA medics, we provided initial medical treatment including stabilization and bandaging, and he was evacuated in an MDA ambulance staffed by Hatzalah volunteers for further treatment at Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in the city."

The incident joins a series of sukkah-building injuries in recent days. On Tuesday, a one-year-old infant was moderately injured in Bnei Brak after a sukkah wall fell on her from a height of approximately 2.5 meters while the family was erecting the structure. The infant was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva.

Following the multiple sukkah-building injuries, Hatzalah is reminding the public to pay attention to the many hazards involved in sukkah construction. The organization is urging extra caution during sukkah building and the use of proper, standardized equipment.
