Moments before departing for an Olam HaTorah Fund mission to Europe, the rosh yeshiva HaRav Moshe Hillel Hirsch shlita addressed the political situation and the purpose of the trip in remarks delivered Sunday at the Petal Hall.
HaRav Hirsch emphasised the importance of the mission: "This is a vital mission for the continued existence of the yeshiva and kollel world, with the goal of ensuring that the order of learning continues without disruption."
The rosh yeshiva then turned to the political situation and the period following the elections, in a remark that drew attention: "After the elections, everything will probably continue as usual." The comment came against the backdrop of consultations President Herzog will open Wednesday with party representatives ahead of assigning the mandate to form a government.
