In a terrible tragedy, a six-year-old girl, Shaina Cohen, the daughter of Chabad emissaries in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away yesterday after suffering from a serious illness for the past two years.

Shaina leaves behind a twin sister, her parents, and other siblings. Family acquaintances described her as a "precious soul." She attended the local school operated by Chabad emissaries, which is headed by her grandparents, Rabbi Yosef and Rivka Kahanov.

Shaina is survived by her parents, Rabbi Chaim and Chani Cohen, and her siblings: Musia, her twin sister Risa, Devorah Leah, and Malka. Funeral details have not yet been released.
