Singer and composer Yonatan Razel celebrated the wedding of his daughter Rivky on Monday night, just months after he was hospitalized in serious condition following a severe stroke.
Rivky Razel married Avraham Yeshayahu Ben David in a celebration that guests described as full of gratitude.
Razel was rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem after suffering a brain hemorrhage. While he was hospitalized, his daughter’s engagement celebration was held in the intensive care unit, beside his bed.
Prayers for his recovery poured in from Israel and around the Jewish world. After several weeks in the hospital, Razel was released home in good condition.
The bride has her own story of recovery. In 2010, as a young child, Rivky fell from the roof of the family’s home in Jerusalem and was seriously injured. She recovered after a long period of rehabilitation.
