The opposition bloc is locked in internal battles as its leaders fight one another and damage their own chances of a decisive victory in the next election, according to a new analysis by political commentator Avi Solomon published on Walla.
Solomon writes that senior opposition figures are building a strategy designed to mirror the results of the last election cycle, but in reverse. "There are those in the opposition who are counting on a 2022 scenario, when Meretz and Balad didn't pass the threshold, but flipped: if two parties in the coalition bloc fail to cross the threshold, that's the key to victory," Solomon notes in his analysis. "Any other scenario opens internal doors at best."
