A protester who interrupted Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up show in Chicago this past weekend hurled accusations at the Jewish comedian over the war in Gaza. Seinfeld, known for his quick wit on stage, responded with biting sarcasm and promised to refund her ticket price in a particularly pointed way.
Protests and heckling over Seinfeld's outspoken support for Israel have become part of the Jewish-American comedian's reality since October 7. This weekend, the disruption reached his Chicago performance when a woman in the audience stood up mid-show and shouted accusations at him.
In footage circulated on social media, the woman is seen yelling at Seinfeld: "22,000 Palestinians who are children have been killed right now with our tax dollars, and you're telling jokes?"
Seinfeld, unfazed, fired back with sharp cynicism: "I'm a racist, it's genocide and I'm for it." As security moved to remove the protester from the venue, Seinfeld called after her: "I'll find out how much your ticket cost and I'll send that money to Israel."
