Columbia Rally Calls for Global Intifada

Students for Justice in Palestine rallied at Columbia University on the October 7 anniversary • Participants called to make the intifada global | the group's Arabic materials praised the martyrs

Anti-Israel protest at Columbia University

Students for Justice in Palestine at Columbia University rallied on the school's New York campus on October 7, the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel. Rally participants called to "make the intifada global," the Abu Ali Express channel reported.

The group's Arabic-language materials carried a second slogan:

"Glory to the martyrs, resistance until victory."

SJP chapters have used this date before. Ahead of the second anniversary in October 2025, chapters at UCLA and Stanford planned "vigils" that framed the day as one of solidarity with Gaza, as JFeed reported at the time.

Citing Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JTA reported that over1,200 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel, most of them civilians, and 251 were taken hostage.
