20 million barrels of oil passed through Strait of Hormuz under U.S. escort
Tankers carrying 20 million barrels of oil transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday under CENTCOM escort, matching prewar levels. One day saw 22 million barrels pass through. Iran has failed to block the traffic despite repeated attempts, and U.S. gas prices remain at reasonable levels.
