The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel's Defense Ministry opened a national pavilion at the Marrakech Airshow in Morocco on Thursday and led a delegation of Israeli defense industries to the exhibition. This is the ministry's first official participation in a defense show in Morocco since the Abraham Accords were signed.

Eight Israeli defense companies brought technologies to Marrakech. Their displays included loitering munitions, AI-powered robotic systems, autonomous navigation for UAVs, laser guidance for FPV drones and satellite communications. Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael, Israel's three major defense industries, exhibited next to the ministry pavilion.

The ministry describes the pavilion as part of its strategy to expand defense exports and cooperation with countries worldwide. It says the strategy strengthens the IDF's force buildup, extends Israel's influence on foreign policy and supports the Israeli defense industry and economy.

Senior Moroccan defense officials visited the IAI pavilion, i24NEWS reported. The delegation included the minister responsible for national defense and senior leaders of the Royal Armed Forces.

Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yair Kulas heads SIBAT, the ministry's International Defense Cooperation Directorate. He called the show a milestone.

"Israel's first-ever participation in an exhibition in Morocco marks an important milestone for the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israeli defense industry," Kulas said.

Kulas added that the show "served as a platform for expanding international defense cooperation and building long-term partnerships."

Kan News reported that Israeli and Moroccan forces have carried out joint aid airdrops and that soldiers from the IDF's Golani Brigade have trained in Morocco.
