Visitors to a recreation complex in northern Israel experienced a frightening ordeal Monday evening when an amusement ride malfunctioned, leaving them suspended high in the air for more than 20 minutes.
The incident occurred at the Bir'am complex, a popular entertainment venue in the Galilee region. Videos circulated on social media showed the ride stuck at a significant height with passengers still aboard. Emergency services, including Magen David Adom paramedics and fire and rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene and began extraction procedures.
Management of the complex later confirmed that the situation was resolved successfully and the ride was safely lowered. No injuries were reported among the passengers.
