Ben Gvir: IDF chief, Shin Bet head, MI chief misled Netanyahu

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir attacked the heads of Israel's security establishment today (Monday), on the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

In an interview on Galei Israel radio, Ben Gvir said: "The main culprits are the Chief of Staff, the head of the Shin Bet and the head of Military Intelligence. They really misled Netanyahu. They were supposed to bring the intelligence to Netanyahu and they misled him in a big way."

"But if you ask me what I would have done at that time as Defense Minister, I wouldn't just listen to them. I would also listen to the opposite view, also listen to a different approach, a different conception, a different opinion. It turns out that within the army there were quite a few such approaches and such opinions, only they simply weren't allowed to voice them."

Earlier today, he addressed the storm he stirred in the street following election billboards his party put up, on which it was written that if he had been Defense Minister, October 7 would not have happened.

In his remarks, he wrote: "I see the whining of the left following the billboards that Otzma Yehudit hung this morning, on which it is written: 'If Ben Gvir had been Defense Minister, 7.10 would not have happened,' and this only sharpens for me that even they deep down know the truth."

"When I demanded targeted assassinations before 7.10, those same people said I don't understand because I wasn't a general in the army. When I cried out that Israel is captive to a conception and that we need to defeat the enemy, they mocked and said I don't understand what I'm talking about. Even now they will shout and attack. They will talk and we will work."
