National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir appeared on the Maariv podcast and addressed the addition of MK Tally Gotliv to his Otzma Yehudit party.
He revealed that Minister May Golan had asked to join the party but was not placed on the list and now, he said, she is very angry and not speaking to him.
"May especially is a friend. It wasn't easy for me. It really wasn't easy for me with May. I hope the friendship will return," Ben Gvir said.
Asked what advantages Tally Gotliv brings and whether she just shouts, Ben Gvir said: "Tally doesn't just shout, she also does and gets things done. But listen to this story. Two years ago I sat with Bibi. I said to him: let's make a deal. I'll give you Almog, you bring me Tally. He didn't want to."
Asked whether Netanyahu really refused, he replied: "Of course. I said to him, why not? He said to me: Tally, you know how many mandates she's worth? People love her very much. I said, yeah, I agree. And you see? I don't understand how he gave her up. I don't understand."
Why do you think he gave her up? "Because maybe he wants to go with Eisenkot."
