Bessent: Iranian workers not showing up, regime will "beg to surrender"

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent provided additional details on Iran's economic collapse, stating that workers are not coming to work and the regime is printing money. He compared the situation to the fall of the Berlin Wall, saying "you can never know how things like this end. The Berlin Wall just fell one day." Bessent predicted Iranians will "beg to surrender," adding they are "collapsing" and "cut off from the world" - unable to travel to visit relatives in London or Paris. He noted Trump does not foresee direct military confrontation at least until after the midterm elections.
