Raviv Drucker, the investigative journalist and host of Channel 13's "HaMakor" (The Source), was questioned Monday by the Traffic Division of Israel Police following the circulation of footage that appeared to show him driving while holding a mobile phone.
The incident began when a clip from one of Drucker's own investigative reports was shared widely on social media. In the video, Drucker is seen behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, apparently holding his mobile phone.
The footage sparked a wave of criticism and anger online, quickly leading to a formal complaint filed with police demanding that the video be examined and the senior journalist's conduct investigated.
Last week, Israel Police confirmed that the video had been forwarded to the Central Unit (Yamar) of the Traffic Division for review. Following the examination of the footage, Drucker was summoned and is currently being questioned by the Traffic Division regarding the circumstances of the incident.
