Egyptian President Al-Sisi recounts Netanyahu questioning Egypt's military buildup

Egyptian President Al-Sisi revealed that Netanyahu once questioned why Egypt was arming itself. Al-Sisi responded that he never viewed Israel's military strength as a threat and expected the same perspective from Israel regarding Egypt's capabilities. "We live in an unstable region and need to remain strong in order to maintain the peace we maintain not only with Israel but with the entire region," he stated. The Egyptian president also disclosed that in every meeting with Netanyahu since 2014, he has advocated for a Palestinian state, arguing it would benefit all parties and bring lasting peace and regional stability.
